Start with what people actually do; not what the process diagram says they do.
Find the structure
Figure out where information disappears, work gets repeated, decisions get stuck, and people have quietly become part of the infrastructure.
Build what helps
Maybe that's a better process. Maybe it's getting the tools you already have to behave. Maybe it's a spreadsheet. And sometimes the thing you need doesn't exist yet, so we build it.

Hi, I'm Lindsay
I've spent my career working in places where the real world doesn't fit neatly into the system.
I've taught science and technology. I've built and run small businesses. I've designed processes, implemented software, wrangled data, automated repetitive work, and built tools of my own.
Those may look like different kinds of work. To me, they've mostly been the same problem:
